Jordan Ayew has urged Leicester City fans to not give up this early in the season after back-to-back defeats in the space of five days.  The Foxes, who are eyeing a quick return to the Premier League, saw their ambition hit the first road block after suffering a 2-1 loss to Preston North End in the English Championship on Saturday.

Before the trip to Deepdale, Leicester had suffered a first round elimination in the Carabao Cup to Huddersfield, mounting pressure on the players. "Obviously everyone is down, nobody likes to lose," Ayew said after the game. "It's been a bad week, but we take it on the chin.

We're professionals, in a season there's ups and downs.

It's still early. "There's a lot of things we need to improve on, and we'll just get back to work and improve on all the areas, keep on pushing, and try to turn things around. "It was a game where we played a bit into their hands for them to be hitting channel balls. "It's still early days, so we'll keep on working.
