Government's spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, is of the view that the narrative pushed by the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) at their February 18, 2025, press conference created a misleading impression.

According to him, the impression created by the press conference and the narrative pushed by the association made it look like the government was attacking journalists.

Kwakye Ofosu explained that President John Dramani Mahama who is himself a member of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) will not supervise a regime that will attack journalists for doing their work.

The Minister of State in charge of Government Communication, who expressed his disappointment in the GJA, was addressing the press at the seat of government. "I must also express dismay about the way that narrative was woven.
