Afenyo-Markin has announced that former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is expected to return to Ghana between May 14 and May 30, 2025, following medical treatment abroad.

Addressing Parliament on Tuesday, February 18, the Minority Leader assured that Ofori-Atta's legal team has been in communication with the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) regarding his availability. "The legal team of the former Minister has been in communication with the Office of the Special Prosecutor and has indicated that he is scheduled to return between May 14 and 30, 2025," Afenyo-Markin stated.

Ofori-Atta, who has been declared a wanted fugitive by the OSP, is currently undergoing medical care outside the country.

His legal representatives have confirmed that he is unable to travel before completing the necessary recovery period post-surgery.
