Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has admitted that Ghana's power sector is in a fragile state, with mounting debts and fuel supply challenges straining electricity generation.

According to him, Ghana currently does not have excess power capacity and must take bold steps to secure the sector's future. "As we speak, we are producing just enough for consumption.

We don't have any excess capacity today because of shutdowns.

We have procured all the fuel we need to sustain power-light crude oil, DFO, and HFO-but even with that, we are cutting exports," he stated on TV3's Hot Issues monitored by MyNewsGH.
