A suspected landguard has shot a 38-year-old farmer, Kwadwo Kintoh, at a galamsey site at Sefwi Nambro in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.
Reports indicate the incident occurred during the operation of an excavator to construct a path through the victim's farm to the galamsey site.
According to the source, the farmer refused to sell his land to the illegal miners due to a low compensation package.
This generated into a serious argument between the suspect and the farmer in the bush.
