Gabriel Tanko Kwamega-Atokple, a 36-year-old businessman, has been elected as the Volta Region's representative on the Council of State, securing 24 out of 35 votes in a highly competitive election.
The election, which saw nine candidates receiving zero votes, underscored Kwamega-Atokple's strong support within the region.

He is the CEO of Sesi-Edem Company Limited and the founder of TK Realties, leading initiatives in responsible mining and real estate development.
