In a major operation, National Security operatives have intercepted a large stash of counterfeit US dollars, suspected gold bars, and fake Ghana cedi notes hidden in twelve 20-foot shipping containers.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel stormed a warehouse in Sapeiman, Ga South Municipality, where they uncovered the concealed items.
The fake currency was hidden inside wooden boxes filled with cement to avoid detection.
Upon further inspection, officials found additional bundles of counterfeit cash stashed in secret compartments reinforced with plywood and sealed with charcoal.
