The Kwahu Traditional Council has donated GH₵200,000 towards the reconstruction of the Kantamanto Market, which was recently razed down by a fire.

Led by the Adontenghene of the Kwahu Traditional Area, Akyemfour Asiedu Agyemang III, a delegation of chiefs from the council on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, made the donation on behalf of the Kwahuhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II, to aid the ongoing reconstruction of the market.

Explaining the motivation behind the donation, Akyemfour Asiedu Agyemang III said the chiefs felt compelled to come to the aid of the victims, which included several natives of Kwahu. "I bring you greetings from the chiefs of Kwahu, led by Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II.

We recently became aware of the disaster that befell our people dealing in used clothing in this market, an occurrence which has become frequent.
