The Goaso Traditional Council has officially banned public Valentine's Day celebrations within the Goaso traditional area.

The decision comes as the community prepares for the one-week observance of the late Paramount Chief, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah.

At a solemn press conference, council elders-dressed in mourning black-declared that any public display of Valentine's festivities would not be tolerated.

While private celebrations aren't explicitly forbidden, visible signs of the romantic holiday, such as decorations, parties, and public expressions of affection, are strictly prohibited.
