Vice Chair of the Special Committee probing the vetting chaos, Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi has disclosed the reason why he recused himself from the hearing of the Committee probing the vetting chaos on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
The Asante Akim Central MP who was part of the members questioning witnesses who appeared before the Committee recused himself in the course of the hearing after receiving a directive from the leader of the Minority Caucus, Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
Explaining his reason for recusing himself and why the hearing was suspended, he noted that the Committee's hearing was supposed to be in-camera and not to the full glare of the public.
According to him, he was informed by the leadership of the Minority caucus not to be part of such a public hearing. "I was told not to be part of what we were doing because, we were not supposed to go public with a committee work. "I think amongst other things but that is what I know.
