Parliament has confirmed the appointment of Buem MP Kofi Adams as Ghana's new Minister of Sports and Recreation following his nomination by President John Dramani Mahama in January.
The approval came after Adams successfully went through vetting by the Appointments Committee last week, where he assured lawmakers of his commitment to holistically developing sports.
A report on his vetting was laid before Parliament and subsequently adopted, clearing the way for his swearing-in by the President.
Adams has been urged to tread cautiously, particularly in the football sector.
