Chairman of Parliament's Appointments Committee, Bernard Ahiafor, has revealed that Minority MPs were instructed by their leader, Afenyo-Markin, to take certain actions during the chaotic scenes on Thursday, January 30.
Giving his account before the Committee investigating the incident on Wednesday, Ahiafor condemned the conduct of the Minority MPs, expressing his surprise at their behaviour.
He recalled hearing the Minority Leader instructing members to bring people into the vetting room, followed by several individuals entering shortly after.
Ahiafor also revealed that Afenyo-Markin was particularly harsh towards the Deputy Minority Chief Whip, Jerry Shaib, during the session. "I heard the Minority Leader asking that some people be called into the vetting room, and soon after, I saw people walking in.
