Award-winning Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has joined the wave of tributes pouring in for the late highlife icon Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, who passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Stonebwoy described the loss as painful but drew comfort from the lasting impact of Lumba's life and work. "As hard as this hits 💔, I am only comforted in the firm trust that a true legend never dies.

Death will always remain a part of life," he wrote in a post shared on Facebook and sighted by MyNewsGh.

Stonebwoy, known for blending reggae, dancehall, and Afropop with indigenous sounds, acknowledged Daddy Lumba's far-reaching influence on Ghanaian music and the broader African soundscape. "I count myself blessed to have come in touch with a rare one who shaped the sound of Ghana, the African sound, and influenced generations, including those that will forever come after," he stated.
