The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) yesterday acknowledged Springfield Exploration and Production Limited's role as a pioneering indigenous operator and its contributions to Ghana's upstream sector.
He said indigenous participation remains essential for value retention, investment attraction, and job creation in the industry.
He made these remarks when he welcomed Mr Kevin Okyere, CEO of Springfield Exploration and Production Limited, and his delegation to GNPC's headquarters in Tema.
The discussion focused on Springfield's ongoing operations, the broader landscape of Ghana's upstream petroleum sector, and the importance of maximising our hydrocarbon resources, particularly in light of the country's gas supply challenges.
