THE Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has procured two new pumping equipment to replace the old ones at the Kpeve Water Supply Station in the Volta Region, to boost water supply and distribution to residents of Ho metropolis and its environs.

The Managing Director (MD) of the GWCL, Adam Mutawakilu, who disclosed this on Monday said the two pieces of equipment were expected to arrive in the country in March this year to fix the problem.

In the meantime, he said water tanker services were being provided to the people as a short-term solution as technical personnel addressed the problem to ensure regular supply of water to the people before the new pumps arrive.

The MD gave the assurance when he led a team of technical personnel of the GWCL from Accra and Ho to the Kpeve water supply system in the South Dayi District as his first day in office was spent on the field instead of the office.
