Asante Kotoko SC has strongly condemned the violent incidents that marred their Ghana Premier League matchweek 19 fixture against Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Kronmansah II Park In an official statement, the club recounted how their team faced hostility from sections of the home supporters from the moment they arrived at the stadium.
Despite the confrontations, Kotoko remained committed to fair play and proceeded with the game.
However, tensions escalated during the match as missiles were repeatedly thrown at Kotoko's bench, creating an unsafe environment for players and officials.
The situation worsened when Kotoko's Head of Media suffered a serious ear injury after being struck by an object.
