Oliver Barker-Vormawor's legal representative has clarified that the post made by his client regarding alleged financial transactions linked to ministerial appointees was misunderstood.

Appearing before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee, lawyer Nana Ato Dadzie explained that Barker-Vormawor's post was never intended to disparage the Committee members but was rather aimed at exposing misconduct by third parties.

Dadzie admitted that Barker-Vormawor made the post but emphasised that it was not directed at the Committee.

He expressed his client's regret over the misunderstanding and offered an apology on his behalf. "This statement and the way it has been interpreted as though he intended to vilify this honourable Committee is far from his intention.
