During his vetting before Parliament's Appointments Committee, Kofi Buah, the Minister-Designate for Lands and Natural Resources, faced scrutiny over his remarks made during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered by President Akufo-Addo.

His comments about the outgoing administration were met with criticism, and in an exchange with his colleague, Annoh-Dompreh, the MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Buah was called to account for his words.

Annoh-Dompreh, who was present during the vetting, took Buah to task, highlighting the tone of his remarks about President Akufo-Addo's tenure, especially considering the President's significant achievements, such as the Free SHS initiative.

He asked Buah if, with the benefit of hindsight, he would reconsider his earlier words, which seemed harsh on the outgoing President.
