Trades Union Congress (TUC) and the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) have called on the Minister-designate for Labor, Jobs, and Employment, Abdul-Rashid H.

Pelpuo, to begin discussions on salary and minimum wage for public sector workers without delay.

According to them, any further delay could affect arrears payments, resulting in agitations on the labor front.

The Secretary General of TUC, Joshua Ansah, entreated the minister-designate not to prioritse this when he is approved by parliament. "As I speak to you, base pay is waiting, minimum wage is waiting, I have written to the ministry to wait for the minister.
