The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has officially announced the timeline and requirements for the 2025 Council of State elections.
In a press release issued today, Wednesday, January 22, the EC confirmed that elections will be held across all regional capitals on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. "Qualified persons who intend to stand for the said elections should submit their nomination forms with two copies of a recent bust-sized photograph against a red background showing their full face and ears," the EC stated.
According to the press release, nomination forms will be available for download on the Commission's website and must be completed in triplicate.
Aspiring candidates are required to submit their forms to the Regional Directors of the EC in their respective regions between Tuesday, January 28, and Friday, January 31, 2025.
