President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Mohammed Abdul-Salam as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
This appointment, effective January 15, 2025, follows the resignation of Sammi Awuku from the position.
Sammi Awuku, who served as NLA Director-General since August 2021, stepped down to focus on his duties as the newly elected Member of Parliament for Akuapem North.
The National Lottery Authority, established in 1958, is responsible for organizing lotteries in Ghana to generate revenue for national development.
