The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will begin "Operation Keep The Lights On" from Wednesday, January 15 to Friday, January 31, 2025, across all operational areas.
In a press statement issued on Monday, January 13, ECG revealed that the exercise aims to recover arrears, inspect prepaid meters, and ensure compliance with disconnection rules.
Backed by LI 2413, ECG urges customers to cooperate fully as self-reconnection is illegal.
Regional and district offices will provide limited essential services during this period to prioritize the exercise.
