Correspondence from the Ashanti Region A rescue team has retrieved the burnt and mutilated bodies of eight individuals who died in a helicopter crash at Adanse Brofoyedu in the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, the helicopter crashed into a tree on a high mountain in the area, resulting in a massive fire that burned the helicopter beyond recognition.
The eight victims comprised three military officers and five top government officials who were on board the helicopter, including two sector ministers, among them the Minister of Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah.
Also confirmed dead is the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed.
