Cassiel Ato Forson, Finance Minister-Designate, has reaffirmed his opposition to the Electronic Transactions Levy (E-Levy), describing it as a hindrance to Ghana's progress toward a cashless economy.

Speaking during his vetting by Parliament's Appointments Committee, Dr Forson emphasized that his stance on the controversial levy remains unchanged.

He argued that the E-Levy discourages digital transactions and undermines efforts to modernise the economy through cashless initiatives. "My position on the E-levy is well known and I do not intend to run from it.
