President has announced the dissolution of board memberships for statutory boards, corporations, commissions, and councils, with individuals appointed by former President or a Minister of State ceasing to hold office.
Under the new directive, it appears that several notable and controversial Ghanaian personalities, whose appointments to those positions sparked controversy, will lose their positions as board members of key state institutions and corporations, in line with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845).
Their tenure per the letter ended on January 7, 2025, after the presidential transition.
