The 2024 running mate candidate for the National Democratic Congress, Prof , has called on Ghanaians to unite and effectively implement the Affirmative Action bill. According to Opoku-Agyemang, the achievements of women in our society reflect the efforts made by our past heroes. Expressing her admiration for meeting a female pilot during a flight, she wrote, "While traveling from Kumasi to Accra this morning, I was struck by the presence of a female pilot in the cockpit. "The achievements of women like her reflect the trailblazing efforts of those who came before and the progress yet to be made," she posted on X (formerly Twitter). Prof. Opoku-Agyemang further called for collaborative effort among Ghanaians to bridge the gap created by gender inequality. "This isn't a battle between men and women, but a call for collaboration and for recognizing the gaps we can bridge together through affirmative action. "With the passage of the long-awaited affirmative action bill into law, now is the time to unite and put it into meaningful practice," she added.
