Former Nsoatreman General Manager, Eric Alagidede, has expressed concerns over a press release by Young Apostles distancing the club from statements made by Samuel Anim Addo, describing it as "very disturbing." The controversy stems from remarks made by former Executive Council member  of the GFA Samuel Anim Addo, who criticized the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for ignoring his complaints about poor officiating.

His comments followed Accra Lions' complaints about referee Maxwell Hanson's performance in their 1-0 loss to Dreams FC on Matchday 16.

Anim Addo's agitation on social media caught the GFA's attention, resulting in misconduct charges against him.

Subsequently, Young Apostles issued a statement distancing themselves from his comments, sparking debates about the growing trend of clubs dissociating from remarks by their officials.
