According to GhanaWeb sources, Nii Lante has been earmarked for the role with John Mahama convinced that the former Odododiodio MP is the right candidate for the job.
Mahama recently announced his first set of ministerial appointments, which include three positions, with the rest of the appointees to be released to the public soon.
If re-appointed, Nii Lante's primary focus would be addressing the numerous issues plaguing Ghana football, including poor performances by national teams and athletes.
