Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Murtala Mohammed has reminded the National Democratic Congress government that retaining power will be anchored on how the government governs the people of Ghana.
He argues that currently, the Ghanaian voter has become extremely sophisticated and does not care about party affiliation.
Rather, they care about delivering on the promises made and how good the economy will be to them during the tenure of the government.
Murtala Mohammed was speaking on TV3 when he made this known. "Retaining power will be anchored on how we govern," he said, mentioning that now the people of Ghana vote based on the issues and not about the party they belong to." Adding that "Implementation of policies by John Dramani Mahama will ensure that the NDC continues to be in power." He warned against the arrogance of power, indicating that the NPP's fall was a result of it. "The arrogance of power was also worrying.
