Security analyst Dr.
Adam Bona has appealed to the John Mahama administration to revisit and punish the Police Officer who assaulted another officer at the Jubilee House in January 2017 under the Akufo-Addo Presidency.
The then Director in charge of VVIP at the Flagstaff house, DSP Nanka Bruce, was assaulted by ASP Jalil Bawa with a surveillance video of the incident going viral on social media.
The matter was raised in Parliament by the then Kumbungu lawmaker Ras Mubarak, however, the investigation went under the radar as the Attorney General's department at the time did not seem keen on prosecuting the suspect. "Mr Speaker, I' m aware of a report made by one DSP Nanka Bruce, Director in charge of the VVIP at the Flagstaff House on 9th January 2017, in which he reported an assault on him by an ex-policeman named Jalil [Bawa] and one Abu.
