Andre Ayew was brought to tears on Le Havre's bench after the Ghanaian scored a consolation goal in his side's 5-1 defeat against his boyhood club Olympique Marseille on Sunday in Ligue 1.
The Black Stars captain began his professional career at Marseille, where he spent eight years before leaving the club in 2015 to join Swansea City.
Back to the Velodrome for the first time in close to a decade, Ayew flicked in a near post cross in the 85th minute to register a consolation goal for Le Havre, who were battered by five goals.
Ayew's goal drew large applause from various sections of the stadium after he refused to celebrate against his old club before the 35-year-old was replaced in the 88th minute.
