The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah, has expressed gratitude and confidence, stating that he and his team were always certain of victory once the due process was followed.

His remarks come after the Electoral Commission concluded the collation and declaration of results on Sunday, January 5, following a directive from the Accra High Court.

Speaking to the press after being declared the winner of the long-contested Okaikwei Central seat, Boamah thanked his supporters and reaffirmed his commitment to serving his constituents. "We had to follow due process and we always believed that the numbers were not going to change but we thank God that we have had a peaceful collation exercise and a peaceful declaration," he stated.

Patrick Yaw Boamah polled 21,099 votes, defeating Baba Sadiq of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who garnered 19,368 votes.
