Charles Forson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been officially declared the winner of the Tema Central parliamentary elections following a court-ordered re-collation of results.

The Electoral Commission (EC) announced that Forson secured 18,870 votes, narrowly edging out Ebi Bright of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who polled 18,815 votes.

Independent candidate Frederick Aniagyei managed 209 votes, while 144 ballots were rejected.

Out of the total 38,038 votes cast, 37,894 were valid.
