The General Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Thomas Tanko Musah has called on President Akufo-Addo to accept the reality that the country's economic situation has deteriorated under his leadership.

Tanko Musah expressed concerns about the country's continued struggles, despite repeated visits to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). "Once you have come into office, people expect that their economic situation will improve," the GNAT General Secretary remarked in an interview with 3News. "But as we speak now, nobody will say that the current economic situation is best.

We are currently at the IMF, and we've been there seventeen times.

Each time we have gone, it's been like we're sitting on a good chair." This comment comes at a time when Ghana is experiencing significant economic hardship, including rising inflation, high unemployment rates, and a weakened currency.
