During Nana Akufo-Addo's State of the Nation Adress (SONA) on Friday, January 3, 2025, parliament was disrupted by an unexpected incident as Colonel Isaac Amponsah, the Aide-De-Camp (ADC) and personal security guard to the president.
Colonel Amponsah, who has been the President's ADC since February 2023, suffered a medical emergency while on duty.
Colonel Amponsah's collapse has not yet been attributed to exhaustion or any underlying medical condition.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo's ability to deliver his speech, despite his advanced age, has garnered attention, especially because his younger bodyguard lost his balance and fell during the event.
