Asamoah Gyan, former striker for the Black Stars, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of exploiting his fame to gain votes during the 2024 general elections.
Speaking during an Instagram Live session, Gyan expressed his frustration, saying, "They [NPP] used my popularity to get votes from the people." Gyan's association with the NPP began when he was appointed chairman of the "Youth and Sports" subcommittee for Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign.
However, his involvement was short-lived.
