President-elect John Mahama has vowed to tackle corruption, curb excessive government expenditures, and correct the wrongs of the outgoing administration as a cornerstone of his leadership.

Delivering his New Year message for 2025, the President-elect assured Ghanaians of his commitment to restoring integrity and efficiency in governance. "We will work tirelessly to correct the outgoing administration's many wrongs, tackle corruption with dogged determination, and reduce excessive government expenditures," he stated.

Mr Mahama outlined plans to reset Ghana's economy for growth and job creation, anchored by the implementation of his 24-hour economy policy.

He pledged to transform Ghana into an export-driven economy while fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. "Together, we will create an environment that fosters entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development, ensuring that our youth can achieve their dreams right here at home." The President-elect promised a lean, efficient government that listens to the aspirations of every Ghanaian.
