Established Ghanaian lawyer and politician, Edward Kofi Owusu-Sekyere, known as Edudzi Tamakloe, has clarified that there was no malice intended behind the comments made by Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin.
According to Tamakloe, Speaker Bagbin's remarks were misinterpreted and taken out of context.
In a recent interview, the Speaker had suggested that some prominent government officials were being protected from prosecution due to their connections to the ruling party.
Bagbin's comments sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for the Speaker to retract or clarify his statement.
