National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has expressed gratitude to God over the margin of victory secured by his party in the December 7, 2024, general election and the vigilance that brought it about.

According to the national chairman, who accused the Electoral Commission (EC) of being biased against his party, it was significant that the EC had no option but to declare the NDC's victory considering the margin of difference in the votes obtained by the NDC and the ruling New Patriotic Party. "You know what, we were not fighting the elephant (NPP) alone, we were fighting the elephant and the referee, and the security.

So we had to carry our referee into the ring.

Thank God we had a technical knockout and that is how come the referee was forced to declare us winners against her own will," he said.
