Black Queens midfielder Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah says Ghana's campaign at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will only be deemed successful if they emerge champions.
Ghana advanced to the quarterfinals after securing a commanding 4-1 victory over Tanzania in their final Group C match.
Boye-Hlorkah, who scored her first goal of the tournament in that win, played a pivotal role in securing the Black Queens' progression to the last eight.
The midfielder stressed the team's ambition is not just to participate but to assert their dominance on the continent and earn the recognition they deserve. "[This tournament will only be successful for me] when we take the trophy," she told Joy Sports. "I think we deserve it.
