As Christmas draws near, the Ghana Fire Service in the Western Region is advising event planners to notify them in advance on roads they intend to block during the holiday celebration.
The Department is making the call to enable it to respond in a timely manner to fire outbreaks as we celebrate Christmas.
Christmas celebrations in the Western Region, notably within the Sekondi Takoradi metropolis, is marked by several entertainment events and activities, famous events is the Made in Tadi Concert and the Trilling Masqueraders Streets Carnival.
These enjoyable-filled activities are mostly responsible for the major city streets and roads being blocked, which causes traffic jams and as revilers have fun as nightfall.
