A Ghanaian industrialist and economist, Tsonam Cleanse Akpeloo, has achieved a historic milestone by being elected as Chairperson of the Trade and Industry Cluster of the African Union Economic, Social, and Cultural Council (AU ECOSOCC).
He was elected during the Second Ordinary Session of its 4th Permanent General Assembly (PGA) held in Nairobi, Kenya from December 11 to 13, 2024.
His election marks the first time a West African has ascended to this influential position.
