Outgoing Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Kwame Andy Appiah Kubi, has criticized some appointees of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for their arrogance, attributing this to the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) defeat in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking on TV3's Key Points on Saturday, December 14, Appiah Kubi said, "Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta grew too pompous.
He was more powerful than the President and the Vice President, and that was why we wanted him out.
I bashed some of them on our pages; some of the ministers were very arrogant." On the same show, Professor Ransford Gyampo of the University of Ghana described the current executives of the NPP as individuals manipulated by President Akufo-Addo.
