Former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu has said that the president-elect, John Dramani Mahama has inherited an economy faced with severe challenges.
However, he believed that Mr Mahama would weather the storm.
Speaking to journalists in Accra on Monday, December 9, the Member of Parliament for Tamale South said "we cannot take the people for granted, Ghanaians say 'If you fail us we will you tomorrow',". Mr Mahama has also accused the outgoing Akufo-Addo administration of plunging Ghana into deep economic challenges.
To that end, Mr Mahama said that it would be tough for his new administration while he seeks to implement governance reforms. "We should not forget the people of Ghana," Mahama stated passionately. "We will implement governance reforms.
