The Chairperson of the (EC), Jean Mensa, has stated that nine constituencies' results have still not been received by her outfit despite her declaring the outcome of the 2024 general elections.
She indicated that the nine constituencies include Awutu Senya East, Nsawam Adoagyiri, Akwatia, Suhum, Techiman South, Dome Kwabenya, Ablekuma North, Ahafo Ano North, and Damongo.
The EC chairperson further noted that even if the total votes of the second-placed candidate were combined with those of other contenders, they would not surpass the votes of the leading candidate.
Speaking to the public on December 9, 2024, at the EC headquarters, Jean Mensa stressed that the outstanding constituencies' votes will not impact the declared results. "As mentioned earlier, results from the nine constituencies are still outstanding.
