The second day of the flower-laying and candle-lighting ceremony in honour of eight persons who died in the tragic helicopter crash at Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region was filled with many emotional scenes as the nation continues to come to terms with the incident.

The First Lady, Lordina Mahama, and several Ministers of State, including the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, , and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, , took their turns at the ceremony.

The most emotional scene occurred when the First Lady arrived at the Ceremonial Garden in front of the Jubilee House, where the ceremony was taking place.

Lordina Mahama, minutes after arriving at the garden, held the hand of the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, and began wailing.
