Friends and family members of the late Stephen King Amoah broke into a spontaneous emotional tirade upon sighting the key suspect in his murder at the premises of the Kaneshie District Court on Friday, August 8, 2025.
Dressed in a long-sleeved shirt with his hands behind him in handcuffs and his gaze partially lowered, Bright Aweh was led out of a police pickup truck by officers and investigators, who ushered him into the court for his hearing.
However, the bereaved friends and family had their emotions triggered in the brief moment of his sighting and broke into individual expressions of grief amidst screams and imprecations directed at the suspect. "Bright, you've caused us worry," a woman could be seen wailing with her hands slapping her lap in grief.
Wearing black and red shirts with an image of the deceased immigration officer printed on them and the inscription, "Justice for Stephen King Amoah," the emotionally charged crowd's reaction compelled the police to ensure Aweh's swift ushering into the courtroom. "As a family, we are not happy with what you are doing.
