The Tema-West constituency has entered a new political era as James Enu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, has been declared the Member of Parliament-elect by the district electoral commissioner.

This victory is historic, marking the first time an NDC candidate has won the Tema-West parliamentary seat, ending the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) 28-year dominance in both presidential and parliamentary elections in the constituency.

James Enu secured a decisive victory with 49,225 votes, defeating Dennis Amfo-Sefah of the NPP, who managed 27,618 votes.

In his acceptance speech at the collation centre, Enu expressed profound gratitude to the constituents for their trust and support.
