The Ministry of the Interior has announced the temporary closure of all land borders ahead of Ghana's general election on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
In a statement issued on Friday, December 6, the Ministry indicated that the closure takes effect immediately and is part of measures to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
The borders are scheduled to reopen on Sunday, December 8, 2024.
The Ministry urged the public to comply with the directive, emphasizing its importance in ensuring a smooth and secure election.
