The Electoral Commission (EC) on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 burnt ballot papers which were earlier distributed to the Eastern Region.

This follows a recall of the ballot papers after a single ballot paper was deemed to be defective.

All ballot papers for the 33 constituencies in the Region were recalled by the EC and destroyed on Tuesday.

Officials of the Electoral Commission, police officers and party agents were all present to witness the destruction of the ballot papers.
